Overview

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development anounced in the Federal Register on January 27, 2009, a final ruling known as Upfront Income Verification (UIV). Effective March 30, 2009, UIV comprises a sweeping set of changes that impact core aspects of occupancy management such as eligibility, income calculations, and verifications. To help housing professionals get up to speed quickly on the new rule, NCHM has developed UIV Update, a special one-day workshop that examines the many ways in which UIV changes the definitions and rules of occupancy management.
