DC DHCD IZ / ADU Training

This one-day course is designed for Certifying Entities working with Washington, DC's Department of Housing and Community Development to uphold the standards of District's Inclusionary Zoning and Affordable Dwelling Unit programs. Students who complete the course will be IZ/ADU Certified and eligible to apply for Certifying Entity approval for their organization.

Areas of focus:

  • Learn about the origins of IZ/ADU housing options and how to maintain compliance with the District's rules and regulations
  • Understand how to calculate and verify Annual Income using the HUD Handbook 4350.3 and DC's legal policies
  • Determine what documentation Landlords and sales agents must receive from each type of household
  • Appreciate the significance of committing to Federal and DC Fair Housing rules
