The Maintenance Technician Aptitude Test was developed by NCHM as a tool for employers to assess the unique skills and knowledge required to serve as a Maintenance Technician in the housing industry. The test examines an individual’s knowledge across nine key areas: These focus areas were selected by industry professionals and NCHM experts to provide a thorough assessment of the range of skills needed to be an effective Maintenance Technician. The questions on the MTAT were carefully engineered to reveal a candidate’s true understanding of these vital focus areas. Our carefully weighted scoring system provides a depth of feedback that is unattainable with any other assessment tool, as candidates are awarded points based on the correctness and quality of their responses.
