It is with mixed emotions that we announce the retirement of long-time instructor, Joe Thomas. We are extremely happy that Joe and his wife, Brenda, will be able to enjoy more time together pursuing their many interests but at the same time sad to see him leaving our faculty.

Joe started as an instructor with NCHM in 2007 after a long and distinguished career in the United States Air Force and later as an instructor for the Family Housing Institute at Naval Air Station – Jacksonville, where he taught civilian and uniformed personnel responsible for military housing around the world.

Over the years, Joe was one of the most highly regarded instructors by both students and peers alike, having taught hundreds of programs and thousands of students. Joe’s affable and low-key approach to teaching calmed the nerves of many a participant taking the COS or TCS exams! I am sure they join us in thanking Joe for his dedicated service.

We are pleased to announce that NCHM will be honoring Joe by naming him one of the first NCHM Fellows. The Fellows program, which will formally launch in early 2020, recognizes those leaders in the field of housing management that have demonstrated the highest level of professional knowledge and experience.

Thank you Joe and All the Best.
